1. The Prophet ο·Ί Encouraged Cupping
Abdullah ibn Abbas (RA) reported:
"The Prophet ο·Ί said, 'Healing is in three things: A gulp of honey, a knife stroke (hijama/cupping), and cauterization with fire, but I forbid my followers to use cauterization.'"

2. The Prophet ο·Ί Had Hijama Done
Anas ibn Malik (RA) reported:
"The Prophet ο·Ί used to get cupped on the two veins at the side of the neck and on the shoulder. He used to get cupped on the 17th, 19th, and 21st (of the lunar month).β

3. Angels Recommended Hijama
Ibn Abbas (RA) reported:
"The Prophet ο·Ί said: 'I did not pass by an angel on the night of Isra (the Night Journey) except that they said: O Muhammad! Order your nation to perform hijama (cupping).ββ
